Magic: The Gathering Lead Designer Mark Rosewater confirmed that there is one Infinity Stone card in Marvel Super Heroes booster set, which will hit stores on June 26, 2026.

Rosewater confirmed this detail about the upcoming set on a Blogatog post from May 25, 2026.  The post read as follows:

theindigosystem: All the promotional material for Marvel Superheroes sounds like there’s only one Infinity Stone in the set (the Mind Stone). Can you confirm or deny if this reading is intentional?

Rosewater: There is only one Infinity Stone in the set.

Wizards of the Coast spoiled The Mind Stone as the Infinity Stone for the Marvel Super Heroes set at MagicCon: Las Vegas, and dealers have already placed a $25,000 buy price on the cosmic versions of the card at the show (see “MagicCon: Las Vegas 2026“).  There are six Infinity Stones in the Marvel Universe (Space, Reality, Mind, Time, Soul, and Power).  The only Infinity Stone that was printed as a Magic card, prior to the announcement of The Mind Stone, was The Soul Stone, which came out in Marvel’s Spider-man (see “Sells for $19,500 on eBay“).

So, where are the other four Infinity Stone cards?  There are a few possibilities.

The most likely of these possibilities is that WotC is planning to release more Marvel booster sets that will include the remaining Infinity Stones.  This is definitely a good possibility as, going forward, there will be three Universes Beyond sets per year (also mentioned in Rosewater’s blog).  Also, based on the recent spoilers, the Marvel Super Heroes set doesn’t seem to include too many mutants, which is one of the largest class of Marvel characters out there.  WotC would clearly be leaving money on the table if they did not print these characters as Magic cards in an X-Men-themed set.

Another possibility is that the remaining Infinity Stone cards could pop up in Secret Lair or other DTC drop sets.  WotC has a tendency to insert bonus cards in Secret Lair and Chaos Vault drops, an Infinity Stone or two could end up in one of these.  Yet another possibility is that WotC prints some of the missing Infinity Stones as in-universe Magic cards.  The names of each of the Stones are pretty generic, and could transition over into the Magic fantasy setting as an in-universe card easily.  In fact, there was already a card named “Mind Stone” card, which was first printed in Weatherlight.

The least likely possibility is that WotC just doesn’t bother printing the other Stones as cards; this would be a very unpopular decision with fans if it happened.
