Mad Cave Studios will release You Are on Native Land: A Charity Comic for Indigenous Rights, an anthology collecting comics by indigenous creators, with profits going to an organization devoted to addressing the Missing & Murdered crisis.

Creators of stories and art in the anthology include Jon Proudstar, Gord Hill, Chas Lowry, Kelly Lynne D’Angelo, Jackie Fawn, Steph Littlebird, Roy Boney, Jim Terry, David Cutler, David Mack, Arihhonni “Honni” Cannon Clay David, and many others.  The anthology will also reprint Tribal Force #1, a 1996 comic that was the first to feature an indigenous superhero team.  Other stories in the anthology include tales of native resistance, family and kinship, love and grief.

Contributor Kelly Lynne D’Angelo shared her thoughts on the goals of the collection.  “I hope this anthology helps people move beyond seeing Native communities and their efforts as separate from their own, and instead recognize the deep connection and responsibility we all share to each other and to the land, at large, now more than ever,” she said in a statement accompanying the announcement.

Profits from the book will be donated to Not Our Native Daughters, a Native survivor-led organization dedicated to addressing the crisis of violence against indigenous women and girls, who experience violence, trafficking, and murder at much higher rates than other groups.

You Are on Native Land: A Charity Comic for Indigenous Rights, a 104-page 6.6″ x 10.1″ trade paperback, will be released on September 15 at $19.99 MSRP.
