The initial impact was a pause in flow as publishers tried to determine how to navigate the new landscape, especially as erratic tariff policy caused great uncertainty in the price publishers paid for the product to be manufactured in other countries and imported into the U.S.  While some delayed products made their way to the U.S. after a delay, especially those further along in the manufacturing cycle, some products were no longer viable under the new conditions.

“There was a lot of stuff that was supposed to be released earlier in the year that just got pushed off or canceled as a project because of the tariffs,” a distributor told us.
