The first issue of Avengers: Armageddon will include a Marvel-themed Magic: The Gathering card, teasing the Magic: The Gathering – Marvel Super Heroes set, which launches a few weeks later (see “Product Line Deets‘). The promotion will apply to all first printing copies, including variants.
The card, “Warstorm Surge,” features art created by Ryan Stegman for the cover of Armageddon/X-Men #1 CGD 2026 (see “PRHPS Reveals Not-Free-Comic-Book-Day Titles“), which will also be used as a variant cover on Avengers: Armageddon #1. The art will not be used in any other Magic: The Gathering set.
Street date for Avengers: Armageddon #1, written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Delio Diz and Frank Alpizar, is June 10. Magic: The Gathering – Marvel Super Heroes on June 26 (see “’Magic: The Gathering’ 2026 Release Calendar“).
