Z-Man Games has acquired Sheriff of Nottingham, via its parent company Asmodee, from CMON.
Asmodee continued its evergreen board game acquisition strategy (see “Zombicide“) by bringing Sheriff of Nottingham under its Z-Man Games banner. CMON had originally purchased Sheriff of Nottingham from Brazilian publisher Galapagos Jagos in 2016 (see “Sheriff“). Sheriff of Nottingham becomes yet another popular board game IP sold off by CMON after their announcement of a halt to future game development (see “Halted“). The company has sold the bulk of these popular titles to Asmodee and Tycoon Games (see “Acquires Five Board Games“).
Sheriff of Nottingham joins the Z-Man Games catalog, where it will sit alongside other popular board games like Love Letter, Carcassonne, and Pandemic. CMON last published a new edition for the game in 2019 (see “‘Sheriff of Nottingham 2E’“).
