The Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc) is offering four scholarships of up to $1,500 per person to attend the ComicsPRO Annual Meeting. The scholarships are available to owners or employees of comic shops who meet certain criteria, and the money can be used for travel, lodging, and meals; ComicsPRO will also cover the registration fee for scholarship recipients. Applications are due by December 31, 2025, at 5 p.m. EST.
Binc doubled both the number of scholarships and the amount of each this year. “We are proud to continue our support for comic retailers with this increase in the number of professional development scholarships we provide as well as doubling the amount available to cover increased travel costs,” Binc CEO Pam French said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “Providing comic people access to networking and education opportunities is critical to strengthening stores and helping build sustainability.”
