Six-Issue Series Follows ‘Rick and Morty vs. the Universe’
Oni Press has announced a new six-issue series, Rick and Morty: The End, by Daniel Kibblesmith and Jarrett Williams. The limited series follows the events of last summer’s Rick and Morty vs. the Universe (see “Preview: ‘Rick and Morty vs. the Universe’ #1”), with Rick on the run and Morty, Beth, and everyone else imaginable in hot pursuit. According to Oni’s official announcement, the series “sets the stage for a cataclysmic finale the likes of which this dimension… or the next one… or the one after that… has never experienced.” The first issue will be released on December 3, 2025, with covers by Dave Bardin and Troy Little, a “Blind Bag-Less Variant (Top Secret!!),” a blue sketch variant, a 1:10 wanted poster variant by Phil Murphy, a 1:20 variant by Tom Fowler, and a 1:50 blacklight variant by Bardin.
Oni announced in 2014 that it had acquired the license for Rick and Morty comics (see “Oni Nabs Licensed ‘Rick & Morty’ Comic”), based on the Adult Swim animated series. Adult Swim announced in 2024 that it had renewed the series for two more seasons (see “‘Rick and Morty’ Renwed Through S12”).
