Steamforged Games has launched Elden Ring: Rot & Sorcery, a new board game, onto Gamefound for crowdfunding.
The new board game series uses the mechanics from the first Elden Game core boxes (see “‘Elden Ring: The Board Game – Weeping Peninsula’“) and expands on the world with two new core boxes. The new core boxes explore the Lakes of Liurnia (Sorcery) and the Dominion of Rot (Rot), which feature an array of new enemies. Each box is fully playable on its own and has new miniatures and its own narratives.
“With the first core boxes, we built an engine we’re extremely proud of, that pushed the boundaries of tabletop combat to recreate the challenging fights of the video game,” said Mat Hart, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at SFG. “Now, we’re expanding that foundation with new regions, new stories, and new gameplay, while making sure newcomers and returning players feel equally welcome. Fans can start their journey right here, with Rot & Sorcery, or return to the beginning.”
The Gamefound campaign features new expansions as well as unlockable content that will appear as the campaign goes on.
