Official Silvally and Rampardos deck list strategy revealed for Pokémon TCG Pocket

The Pokémon Company is continuing to reveal new content for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. Read on below to learn more:

Silvally pairs up with powerful partner Rampardos for a steady offense and solid Knock Out potential.

Since Rampardos’s debut in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket’s Space-Time Smackdown expansion, it’s proven to be a powerful and popular Pokémon to use in decks, especially when pairing it with allies such as Lucario or Sudowoodo. The new Extradimensional Crisis expansion has introduced a powerful new ally for the popular Fighting-type Fossil Pokémon Rampardos—Silvally!  This fresh new partnership enables a high-speed offensive that provides steady damage output and flexible Supporter choices to round out the deck.

2× Type: Null (Extradimensional Crisis)
2× Silvally (Extradimensional Crisis)
1× Cranidos (Space-Time SmackdownDialga)
2× Rampardos (Space-Time SmackdownDialga)
2× Gladion (Extradimensional Crisis)
2× Professor’s Research (Promo)
1× Guzma (Celestial Guardians)
1× Iono (Shining Revelry)
1× Pokémon Center Lady (Shining Revelry)
1× Cyrus (Space-Time Smackdown: Palkia)
2× Rare Candy (Celestial Guardians)
2× Skull Fossil (Space-Time Smackdown: Dialga)
1× Poké Ball (Promo)

This deck might seem familiar to those who’ve read the partner-up strategy. But with the debut of Type: Null and its Evolution, Silvally, in Extradimensional Crisis, Rampardos has new battle partners in the Synthetic Pokémon. Both Type: Null and Silvally have the potential for greater damage output than Rockruff and Lycanroc—especially if the condition for Silvally’s Brave Buddies attack is met, which is easier to satisfy than the condition for Lycanroc’s Blood Fang attack. Gladion can bridge the gap as a Supporter who adds Type: Null or Silvally to your hand, helping to make up for the lack of Rockruff’s useful Signs of Evolution attack.

Game plan: This deck is quick to go on the offense. Since Type: Null is the only Basic Pokémon included, you’re guaranteed to draw one in your starting hand, and evolving it into the Stage 1 Silvally is as easy as drawing the right cards. As such, this deck is less reliant on playing Skull Fossil than other Rampardos decks.

Chaining Type: Null’s Quick Blow attack into Silvally’s Brave Buddies attack—which does 50 more damage if you played a Supporter card from your hand during that turn—can deal a reliable 120 damage if you use the Gladion Supporter card before attacking with Silvally. On top of this, Gladion will net you another Type: Null or Silvally in your hand.

Reducing the strategy’s reliance on Rampardos means you can afford to play a little slower, sequencing your Pokémon attacks so Rampardos can deliver final blows with its Head Smash attack. However, be aware that as you score more points,  you’ll become more vulnerable to Supporter cards like Mars, which make it harder to draw and use Supporter cards for the Brave Buddies damage bonus. If you find yourself put in a corner like this, don’t forget that Rampardos’s reliably heavy-hitting Head Smash does 130 damage for only one Fighting Energy and doesn’t need a Supporter Card to win a skirmish.

You’ll have some flexibility when it comes to choosing Supporter cards to fill your deck, but make sure to include at least a few so you can do additional damage with the condition for Brave Buddies. Iono is useful in helping you find the pieces you need for Rampardos; and Sabrina, Red, Giovanni, and Mars are also all popular choices. Try experimenting with Supporter cards that can efficiently counter decks you’re expecting to face or that align with your own play style!

Put your trust in this combination and forge your path to victory, Trainers!
