Wizards of the Coast revealed its Winter Superdrop 2025, the next wave of Secret Lair sets for Magic: The Gathering, which hits DTC preorder on February 10, 2025 at 9 am PT.
The annual winter Secret Lair drop is back again for another year, and it features an array of goodies for Magic fans. The drop has 16 sets in total, non-foil and foil. The headliner of the drop is a new Secret Lair X Hatsune Miku: Winter Diva set, which showcases a virtual idol that fans seem to not be able to get enough of (see “‘Secret Lair’ Drops with Virtual Idol“). The Superdrop also has Aetherdrift Showcase sets, with throwback art from Matchbox car packaging and racing arcade games, as well as artist-themed drops from Luke Pearson, Mitsuhiro Arita, and Jesper Ejsing.
The following sets are offered as part of the Winter Superdrop 2025:
- Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku: Winter Diva (MSRP $29.99; Rainbow Foil $39.99): The fourth Miku set offers artwork with the diva in snow attire. It contains a Giada, Font of Hope as “Miku, Font of Pop,” a Youthful Valkyrie, a Counterspell, a Swan Song, a Brago, King Eternal as “Miku, Queen Electric,” and Scrying Sheets.
- Aether Drifters (MSRP $29.99; Traditional Foil $39.99): This Matchbox Car packaging-inspired set comes with a Reversible Parhelion II, a Reversible Mechtitan Core, a Reversible Peacewalker Colossus, a Reversible Reckoner Bankbuster, a Reversible Smuggler’s Copter, and a Reversible Mechtitan token.
- Arcade Racers (MSRP $29.99; Rainbow Foil $39.99): The set has cards with retro arcade racer artwork. It comes with a Big Score, a Final Fortune, a Heat Shimmer, a Roiling Vortex, and a Wheel of Misfortune.
- City Styles 2: Dressed to Kill (MSRP $29.99; Rainbow Foil $39.99): It features cards with artwork by Tsubonari and contains a Karmic Guide, a Ninja of the Deep Hours, a Captain Sisay, a Selvala, Explorer Returned, and a Veyran, Voice of Duality.
- Featuring: Luke Pearson (MSRP $29.99; Rainbow Foil $39.99): This set features artwork by the award-winning graphic novelist who created the Hilda series. The set comes with a Witch of the Moors, a Bear Umbra, a Realmwalker, and a Solemn Simulacrum.
- Featuring: Mitsuhiro Arita (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): These cards showcase the artwork of long-time TCG artist Mitsuhiro Arita. The set contains a Light-Paws, Emperor’s Voice; a Murktide Regent; a Lightning Bolt; and a Shorikai, Genesis Engine.
- Artist Series: Jesper Ejsing (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): This Artist Series set celebrates the artwork of D&D artist Jesper Ejsing. The set comes with a Sun Titan; a Breeches, Eager Pillager; a Deflecting Swat; and a Llanowar Elves.
- Lorwyn Lightboxes (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): The set teases a future return to Lorwyn with a much needed reprint of the land cycle from the set. This set comes with an Ancient Amphitheater, an Auntie’s Hovel, a Gilt-Leaf Palace, a Secluded Glen, and a Wanderwine Hub.
