Check out the video in Pokémon GO, and catch Water-type first partner Pokémon, including Squirtle wearing sunglasses.
Pokémon GO has seen its share of musical Pokémon, like the lyrical Jigglypuff and the melodic Meloetta. But on Monday, November 22, 2021, a different star will take the spotlight with a special performance available in Pokémon GO. Grammy-winning English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran celebrates his love of Pokémon with a video for Pokémon GO Trainers, and you’ll also be able to participate in a special in-game event from Monday, November 22, 2021, to Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Sheeran’s performance will feature some of his classic hits as well as songs from his new album, including “Perfect,” “Bad Habits,” “Overpass Graffiti,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “First Time,” and “Shivers.” During the accompanying event, Sheeran’s favorite Pokémon, Squirtle, will be appearing in the wild wearing its signature sunglasses. And because the singer always chooses a Water-type first partner Pokémon to accompany him on video game adventures, some of those Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild, too.
This celebration of Water-type Pokémon will also feature themed stickers. And to help you catch and evolve more Pokémon, you can pick up a free one-time Event Box from the shop that contains a Lure Module, a Metal Coat, a King’s Rock, and 10 Pinap Berries.
Rock on, Trainers!
