Amigo Games Reveals a ‘Magic Dwarf’

Coming to U.S. Retail

Amigo Games revealed Magic Dwarf, a new cooperative children’s card game, that will hit U.S. retail in Q4 2024.

In Magic Dwarf, players race sorcerer’s apprentices towards the mine to collect crystals from a dwarf named Rupert for their magic wands. However, standing in their way are the witches that need to be avoided at all costs. To begin the game, the path to the crystals is laid out on the game boards, the apprentices are placed on the end of the board opposite of the mine, and the cards are scattered face down on the table. Players reveal cards on their turn that indicate the movement of a depicted character on the board, apprentice or witch, and move that character according to the colors on the path and on the cards.

Each turn a new card gets revealed (the first player reveals two cards), and movement on the board continues. If all the apprentices make it to the mine before the witches, the players win the game together. This game is for one to six players, ages 5 and up, and plays in 20 minutes.

Amigo Games also revealed Cloudship, a new cooperative dexterity game (see “‘Cloudship’“).
