The Kickstarter campaign for Bloomchasers, a light strategy board game, has significantly exceeded its initial funding target. With a goal of $10,000, the campaign has already raised $43,859 thanks to the support of 945 backers, with 29 days remaining until its conclusion on May 11.
Designed by Evan and Josh, who have previously launched successful games on Kickstarter, Bloomchasers is described as a 30-minute game that combines aesthetic appeal with engaging gameplay. Players, known as “Bloomchasers,” strategically place branches and buds on a 3D tree, aiming to outmaneuver their opponents and grow flowers by predicting weather patterns which influence each round of play.
The game is versatile, designed for both competitive and cooperative play, which makes it suitable for a variety of players. It can be taught in under ten minutes and is designed to be accessible to newcomers while still providing enough depth to keep experienced players engaged.
In addition to the base game, the creators have introduced the Birds and Bees Expansion Pack, which adds new strategic elements to gameplay, such as Birds that can block or protect buds and Beehive Branches that enhance scoring opportunities.
The campaign’s success reflects the growing interest in board games that offer innovative mechanics and unique themes. Bloomchasers also emphasizes high-quality, durable components that enhance its visual and tactile appeal, positioning the game as both an entertaining activity and a visually attractive item.
