Testing visual changes to the Pokémon GO experience

Trainers,

In the coming months, we’ll be testing visual changes in certain parts of the world.

We continually strive to improve the Pokémon GO experience. As such, we want to ensure the changes we make are beneficial to—and make a strong, positive impact on—the greater community, as well as each individual Trainer’s experience, before we launch them globally.

Trainers in these regions may see the following:

  • Visual changes to the in-game Pokémon GO map, including encounter screens.

We appreciate the community’s support, particularly within these regions, as we look to test these visual updates. Be sure to share your feedback with us on social media by replying to @PokemonGoApp and @NianticHelp on X (Twitter). You can also contact Niantic Support if you would like to report any issues. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to providing these visual changes to all Trainers once we’ve confirmed the updates work as envisioned.

Please be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO. Upcoming events are subject to change. Be sure to follow us on social media, opt in to receiving push notifications, and subscribe to our emails to stay updated.
