Warhammer 40K Next Week: War Zone Octarius Book 2, New Necromunda

War Zone Octarius book 2 is out for pre-order next week, alongside House Cawdor’s answer to Master Blaster. Check ’em out!

War Zone Octarius is about to reach critical mass–which we know because book 2 of War Zone Octarius is out for pre-order, and it’s fittingly titled War Zone Octarius: Critical Mass. This new book is a continuation of the Octarius campaign that expands 40K in some interesting directions:

Along with the galaxy-shaking conclusion to this epic conflict, the book contains a codex supplement for the Blood Axes, updated Index rules for Rogue Trader crews, a Speed Freeks Army of Renown, and rules for embarking on an Octarius Sector Campaign with new Legendary missions, branching mission trees, and powerful Crusade relics up for grabs. On top of that, there are also rules for using looted vehicles in Ork Crusade armies – no Rhino will ever be safe again!

The book will be available as a collectors’ edition with soft touch cover, a black ribbon marker, and silver foil blocking, or as a glorious standard edition hardback.

Supplementing the new rules in Warzone Octarius comes the new Crusade Mission pack, Catastrophe. Catastrophe brings with it a new multiplayer game ruleset, the Treachery and Honour system, as well as 21 new missions, and all new Stratagems, Battle Traits, and Agendas. Alongside all of this, a new Underdog ruleset.

Of course that’s just War Zone Octarius. The 41st Milennium is a grim, dark place where there is only war. Even in the depths of the Underhives of the biggest planets, war lurks. Clan Cawdor is preparing for it with a new weapons and upgrades kit.

In this kit, you’ll find 14 alternate weapons, new flak armor panels, and 10 new heads. You’ll also get some heavy firepower in the form of the Stig Shambler. These Cawdor Brutes bring a twin-linked heavy stubber or heavy flamer.

But the best weapon of all in the Imperium is faith. And as we all know, in the Imperium, faith means fire/being on fire, and nobody is more faithful or on fire than Klovis the Redeemer.

Beware, oh you faithless foes. Finally, House Cawdor opens up their aviaries unleashing Sheen Birds–cyberbirds who can fly and attack enemy fighters with beaks and claws.

All this, next week!
