Everything you need to know about the new sync pair of Iono & Bellibolt in Pokémon Masters EX

Pokémon Masters EX, the strategy and battling Pokémon game for mobile platforms, is now available for download on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). In celebration of the game’s popularity, special in-game events and rewards are offered on a regular basis.

Give your Electric-type team that special spark with Iono & Bellibolt and their supercharged passive skills.

You’ve seen Iono in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, and now you get to connect with her on Pasio! Iono’s gearing up to livestream from Pasio and everyone’s excited—even Lear gave her stream an official endorsement. Tune in to see how Iono’s Pasio debut goes down in Story Event: The Electrifying Influencer.

You can also enjoy co-op battles against Iono in Special Event: Time We Got Down to It! until January 18, 2024, at 9:59 p.m. PST. Best these co-op battles to collect Whosawhatsit Stickers, which count toward a global total—the more stickers everyone collects, the better the rewards everyone gets!

Iono & Bellibolt are an Electric-type support sync pair that thrive as the center of attention. Their passive skill Gimme All You Got! applies the Free Move Next effect to all allied sync pairs and increases allies’ Special Moves ↑ Next effect by one rank when Iono & Bellibolt are hit by an attack. The spotlight can be hard to handle sometimes, but this sync pair flourishes under pressure.

Just as Iono gives her livestreams a special spark, Iono & Bellibolt specialize in galvanizing sync pairs that do special damage. Their passive skill 1st T-Move: Team Sp. Atk ↑ 4 immediately raises the Sp. Atk of all allied sync pairs by four stat ranks the first time Iono & Bellibolt use a Trainer move. Their Trainer move, On the Rise!, raises the critical-hit rate of all allied sync pairs by three stat ranks while also increasing allies’ Special Moves ↑ Next effect by two ranks. Special-damage-dealing sync pairs are definitely going to want a permanent collab with Iono & Bellibolt!

For more details on this sync pair’s passive skills and moves, check out Iono & Bellibolt’s in-game sync pair scout screen. Iono & Bellibolt are available to scout until January 31, 2024, at 9:59 p.m. PST.

  • Hau & Raichu
Jovial Trainers work well together, as exemplified by the shocking synergy between Hau & Raichu and Iono & Bellibolt. Hau & Raichu can raise their Sp. Atk and Speed with their Trainer moves but have no way to raise their critical-hit rate. Iono & Bellibolt’s On the Rise! covers that gap while also giving Hau & Raichu an additional damage boost by increasing their Special Moves ↑ Next effect. All Hau & Raichu’s moves do special damage, so Iono & Bellibolt’s Gimme All You Got! passive skill supercharges their electrifying output. Not to mention these two sync pairs get stat boosts from their shared Electric theme skill when they’re on the same team. Hau & Raichu can be acquired by completing Chapter 11 of the main story.
  • Volkner & Luxray
Volkner & Luxray may not benefit immensely from a collab with Iono & Bellibolt, but partnering the two sync pairs with an Electric-type strike sync pair is sure to do numbers. If an Electric-type sync pair—like Hau & Raichu—is already doing increased damage thanks to Iono & Bellibolt’s Gimme All You Got!, that sync pair has even more to gain from Volkner & Luxray’s Electric Terrain, which amps up Electric-type moves. Since Iono & Bellibot rely on taking damage to better aid their allies, Volkner & Luxray’s Thunder Fang can also buy them more time when their HP is running low. Volkner & Luxray are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and the 5★-Guaranteed Sinnoh Ticket Scout.
