Blueberry Prologue Online Competition now underway in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet until January 14 at 3:59 p.m. PST

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available for Nintendo Switch. Read on below to learn more:

Register now to battle against Trainers from around the world in this Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Online Competition.

To commemorate your trip to Blueberry Academy in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, a new Online Competition is about to begin. The Blueberry Prologue takes place Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. PST to Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 3:59 p.m. PST. In-game sign-ups began on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. PST and will remain open until the end of the competition.

This Online Competition will be comprised of Double Battles using Pokémon from the Blueberry Pokédex, so assemble your best team and prepare to battle.

You may sign up and join this event from the start of the sign-up period to the end of the competition period.

Please note that the duration of the sign-up period for this event differs from that of previous Online Competitions.

This competition will be comprised of Double Battles using Pokémon from the Blueberry Pokédex. For the full list of eligible Pokémon, ranking announcements, regulations, and other details, please refer to the Eligible Pokémon and Competition Info sections below.

Only one user with one set of save data from either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet may participate per Nintendo Switch™ system. If your Nintendo Account is registered to users on multiple Nintendo Switch systems—even if you play different versions of the game on the different systems—you may participate with only one system per Nintendo Account.

Any Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account required for online features. Membership auto-renews after initial term at the then-current price unless canceled. Battle data and results will be provided to Nintendo Co., Ltd., and The Pokémon Company (and its subsidiaries).
Players engaging in or exhibiting the following may receive penalties and be restricted from participating in future online events.
• Use of unauthorized methods to alter game save data, use of Pokémon that have data altered via altering code, or Pokémon created through the use of altering code
• Significantly large number of disconnects during battle, from when your opponent has been decided to when the match results have been fully sent to the server (please ensure a stable connection environment when connecting to the internet)
• Troubling behavior that could affect other participants or make others feel unpleasant
• Actions that would obstruct battles and operations, such as hacking
• Registering with incorrect information or impersonating another player
• Using multiple Nintendo Accounts to participate in the same competition
• Intentionally manipulating wins and losses by using multiple devices or sets of save data (or collaborating with others to do so)
• Other actions that operation hosts determine to be inappropriate
