Penguin Random House has announced Dungeons & Dragons: Lore & Legends: A Visual Celebration of the Fifth Edition of the World’s Greatest Roleplaying Game, a book that explores the development of the game’s Fifth Edition. Lore & Legends will release on October 3.
Written by Michael Witwer, Kyle Newman, Jon Peterson, and Sam Witwer, the team behind 2018’s Hugo-Award-nominated Dungeons & Dragons: Art & Arcana – A Visual History (see “Massive Visual History of ‘Dungeons & Dragons’”), Lore & Legends explores the creation of the Fifth Edition version of the tabletop game as well as its popularity and relevance to modern culture. The authors drew from interviews of the game’s designers, artists, and storytellers to present their perspectives on the enormous success of the game. The book also presents more than 900 pieces of artwork and visual ephemera to create a visual history of that edition.
The hardcover book will weigh in at 416 pages and measures 9 by 11–7/8 inches. MSRP is $50.00.
Penguin Random House has also announced a Dungeons & Dragons Coloring Book to release in September (see “Penguin Random House Will Release New ‘Dungeons & Dragons Coloring Book’ into Hobby Retail”).
