Baltimore Comic-Con announces its 2022 Cosplay Craftsmanship Contest Winners

Baltimore Comic Con and Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore have announced the winners of their 13th Annual Cosplay Craftsmanship Contest. The contest took place on Saturday, October 29, 2022 for both amateur and professional adults, and Sunday, October 30, 2022 for kids. Visually stunning costumes ranged from classic superheroes to video game and movie characters and beyond, and the contest has proven to be one of the most anticipated events at the show, for cosplayers and fans alike.

This year’s cosplay craftsmanship contest was split into novice, journeyman-traditional, and journeyman-large build contests, and a separate contest was held for kids as well.

The grand prize winner for Best in Show Costume, and the recipient of the $1,000 cash prize, was Cheery Kokiri Cosplay for Vex’ahlia from Critical Role.

Overall Best Costume (Best in Show): Cheery Kokiri Cosplay, Vex’ahlia from Critical Role

Professional:

Journeyman – Traditional 1st Place: Rose Ryon, Moiraine Damodred from Wheel of Time

Journeyman – Traditional Runner-Up: Miss Taurus Cosplay, Geisha Espeon from Pokemon

Journeyman – Large Build 1st Place: Ariel Scotten, Ariel-Mando

Journeyman – Large Build Runner-Up: Shawn T. Andrew aka Shawnshonuff, Johnny Blaze

Amateur:

Novice 1st Place – Jade Young, Lucio from Overwatch

Novice Runner-Up: Sydney Fryer, Jean Alter from Fate Grand Order

Best Group:

1st Place: Elizabeth O’Connor, Alex Harrington, and Snigdha Ravy, Vex’ahlia (Vex), Keyleth, and Delilah Briarwood from Critical Role

Group Runner-Up: Sarah and Adam, Vanny and Glitchtrap from Five Nights at Freddy’s

Judges Awards:
