Thank you for an awesome April Community Day!

Trainers,

Thank you for another fun-filled Community Day! We had a great time seeing how Trainers around the world spent Stufful Community Day—whether at home, in a park, or even at one of our in-person April Community Day meetups.

With meetups in more than 60 cities around the world, we saw more Trainers than we could count! Did you enjoy the day as much as we did?

We can’t wait to see you out there again during our May Community Day meetups on Saturday, May 21, 2022!

Beware the fierce but adorable Stufful as it flails its way into the spotlight.

Get ready to say “Alola” to Stufful as it makes its Pokémon GO debut during April’s Community Day event! The endearing Normal– and Fighting-type Pokémon will appear on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Known as the Flailing Pokémon, Stufful looks cute, but it’s powerful enough to split trees in half. Evolve Stufful during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Bewear that knows the Fighting-type Charged Attack Drain Punch. This will be the first time Drain Punch is available in Pokémon GO!

In addition to Stufful’s Pokémon GO debut, April’s Community Day is stuffed full of special bonuses! Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours, and you’ll earn three times the XP and twice as much Candy for catching Pokémon. Trainers level 40 and above will have double the chance to obtain Stufful Candy XL by catching Stufful. These bonuses will especially come in handy for gathering the 400 Stufful Candy required to evolve Stufful into a Bewear that knows Drain Punch before Community Day ends at 7:00 p.m. Make the most of Pinap Berries to quadruple your usual Candy earnings, and you’ll have enough Stufful Candy to evolve Stufful into Bewear in no time!

Pokémon trades taking place between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time will cost half the usual Stardust, and you’ll be able to make an additional Special Trade during that timeframe. A Community Day–exclusive Special Research story—titled Strong Stuff—will be available through the Pokémon GO in-game shop for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency).

Enjoy stuffing your Pokémon storage full of Stufful, Trainers!

April Community Day

Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

Trainers,

We’re excited to announce that Stufful, the Flailing Pokémon, will make its Pokémon GO debut during April’s Community Day event! Stufful will appear in the wild, and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!

Community Day Adjustments

We also wanted to take a moment to discuss some changes to the Community Day format we’ll be testing. In 2020, we doubled the length of our Community Day events, extending them from three hours to six. Since then, however, we’ve found that only five percent of our Trainers tend to participate in the event for more than three hours.

One of the biggest pieces of positive feedback that we received after January’s three-hour Community Day Classic was that players and community leaders noticed how much more of the community was out and about during the event. So, for Stufful Community Day, we’re returning to three-hour format. Our hope is that doing so will create even more opportunities for Trainers to play together and connect outside as they’re exploring.

We know that Trainers have enjoyed all of the extra resources that can be collected during longer events, so we’re adding some new and exciting perks to Stufful Community Day to give you the ability to collect just as many resources during gameplay. Check them out below!
