Stonemaier Games Sales Up 38% in Second Covid Year

Stonemaier Games reported another banner year in 2021, with sales up 38% to $24.7 million from $17.9 million in 2021, founder Jamey Stegmaier reported in the company’s annual report to stakeholders.  That marks the third consecutive year of growth over 30% for Stonemaier; sales were up 40% in 2020 and 33% in 2019 (see “Stonemaier Sales Up 40%“).

Wingspan was by far the company’s bestseller with sales of 663,548 copies, based on the lifetime copies reported for 2021 (1,410,539) and for 2020 (447,150) and 2019 (299,841).  The company’s two new games, Red Rising and Rolling Realms, sold 154,800 and 36,000 units, respectively.

Stonemaier’s planned 2022 releases include the previously announced Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest (see “Stonemaier Unveils ‘Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest’“), a Wingspan Nesting Box (which will include an expansion), more Rolling Realms promos, and some unannounced releases.
