Spawn Comics are Getting Black Sketch Covers

Todd McFarlane has announced a limited run of blank sketch covers on all four of his monthly comic titles in honor of the 30^th anniversary of Spawn and Image Comics. In the months of April and May only, Todd McFarlane will debut blank sketch covers for the first time on three of the newest titles, King Spawn, The Scorched, and Gunslinger Spawn.

Todd McFarlane Productions will not only release a blank sketch cover on the three newest titles, but the regular Spawn monthly comic will also feature a blank sketch cover, which he hasn’t done since the record-breaking Spawn 300 in 2019. To commemorate Spawn #1 being released thirty years ago, McFarlane will also release a special blank sketch cover of Spawn’s inaugural issue. All the above covers will only include logos and pricing.

Before this year, Todd McFarlane has rarely offered these types of covers on the regular Spawn monthly book over the past 30 years. In addition to the traditional white blank sketch cover, McFarlane will release for the first time a black blank sketch cover for each of the four monthly titles too.

This will be the only time in 2022 retailers will be able to purchase these blank sketch covers (black or white versions).
