Uncharted beat expectations with its first place at the weekend box office. The film brought in an estimated $44.2 million domestically. Internationally, the film earned an estimated $88 million for a worldwide total of $132.2 million.
In second place was another debut, Dog which earned an estimated $15.1 million. No international return has been reported.
Spider-Man: No Way Home improved one spot from the previous week gaining a bit and earning a reported $7.7 million. That brings its domestic total to $770.6 million. Over the week, the film grossed about $15 million to bring its international total to $1.831 billion.
The film passed Avatar this weekend to now be the third highest grossing film domestically (not adjusted for inflation). The film would need to add about $87 million to its domestic total to move into second which is held by Avengers: Endgame. The film sits in sixth place for worldwide lifetime gross and is unlikely to move into fifth as there’s a $217 million gap.
Death on the Nile had a massive drop going from last weekend’s first place to fourth earning an estimated $6.3 million. Domestically, the film has grossed just under $25 million. Over the week, the film added about $29.2 million to its international total to bring that to $49.9 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $75.8 million.
Rounding out the top five was Jackass Forever which was second last weekend. The film added $5.2 million to its total to bring that to $46.8 million. Over the week, the film added $3.3 million to its international total to bring that to $13.3 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed a little over $61 million.
In comic films…
The King’s Man grossed an estimated $101,000 to bring its domestic total to $37.1 million. The film also added about $2.1 million over the week at the international box office to bring that total to a little over $87.1 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $124.2 million.
Eternals looks like it has ended its run with a domestic total $164.9 million. It also looks like it’s done at the international box where it stands at $237.2 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed just about $402.1 million.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage returned to theaters but that looks to be over. The film has grossed $213.6 million domestically. The international box office remained steady at $288.5 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed just under $502.1 million worldwide.
Initial numbers have 30 films earning $94,288,943 from 38,338 theaters. That’s a bit a jump of over 50% from last weekend’s 46 films which earned $53,739,903 from 37,270 theaters theaters. The average earning was $2,459.41 this past weekend, an increase from the previous weekend’s $1,442.
