PSA has announced that they have reopened their Value Tier services for submissions as of October 29, 2026 at 8 am PT.

PSA had closed their Value Tier services in May 2026 after accumulating a 10 million card backlog (see “Shut Down Value Grading Tiers“).  This backlog swelled to 14 million cards in June 2026 (see “Submission Backlog“), but started to decline later in the same month.  The backlog is apparently manageable enough now to reopen the Value service levels with new options:

“Pausing service levels gave us an opportunity to evaluate and streamline the services we offer, while also steadily moving toward both faster options for those customers who need expedited service and, as of this week, Value service that will open grading to the many customers awaiting lower-priced options,” said Ryan Hoge, President of PSA and Grading at Collectors.  “We have added an incredible amount of capacity, but we still have work to do, both on existing orders and ensuring our estimated turnaround times are accurate.”

The Value Tier service level reopens at $39.99 per card with each card submitted having a max insurance value of $500.  The estimated turnaround time per order is 90 to 100 business days.  PSA also recently changed the turnaround times on the recently added Standard and Priority service levels; Standard is 70 to 80 business days at $59.99 and Priority is $79.99 at 50 to 60 business days.  The turnaround time on Standard and Priority level services were 20 days higher prior to this announcement.
