Maestro Media announced Big Buck Hunter: The Board Game, a new tabletop game based on the popular arcade game, which will arrive in June 2027.
This game is part of a collaboration with Play Mechanix, Inc., the Skokie, Illinois arcade game studio that develops Big Buck Hunter games. Big Buck Hunter is a series of video games, first released in December 2000, where players use a plastic gun controller to shoot down animals on the arcade screen. In the tabletop game, players compete in three rounds of hunting, trying to lure the best game into their sights.
Each player takes a turn as the Hunter, while the other players lay tiles to craft the Wildlife landscape. The goal of the game is for the Hunter to take down the best animals on the board. The hunt evolves as gameplay proceeds, and special card effects add additional challenges in downing targets. This game offers up solo as well as multiplayer modes of play.
Also, Maestro Media and AMIGO have inked a North American publishing partnership agreement (see “Partnership Agreement“).
