Vault Comics and Dungeon Crawler Carl creator Matt Dinniman will launch an ongoing monthly comic series in January, the publisher announced. The series will collect the Dungeon Crawler Carl webtoon, written by Dinneman and Tevagah with art by Laurel Pursuit Studios and Kuzomari, which adapts the hit webnovels that spawned the phenomenon.
The first 48-page issue will include the first two chapters of the webtoon, with the A cover by Nathan Gooden, who will also provide the A covers for future issues of the ongoing series, and a variant by Ryan Ottley. Other artists lined up for covers for the series include Brett Bean, Frank Cho, Clayton Crain, Yoshi Yoshitani, Katie Cook, Riley Rossmo, Tyler Walpole, Doug Mahnke, Trish Forstner, Todd Beats, Tony Moy, and Luciano Fleitas, the cover artist for the Dungeon Crawler Carl novels.
The first chapter of the webtoon was included in Vault Comics’ 2026 Free Comic Book Day giveaway (see “FCBD Titles“). The webtoon is also being collected in graphic novel format (see “Two ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ GNs“). The first volume has been sitting at or near the top of the monthly graphic novel charts for months (see “September 2026 Circana BookScan“); the second volume was released earlier this month.
