Comics publisher American Mythology and tabletop roleplaying game publisher Goodman Games will collaborate on Dungeon Crawl Classics comics, the companies announced. Dungeon Crawl Classics is an RPG rule set that pays homage to classic roleplaying games while using modern game play in the core rulebook, settings, and over 200 modules.
The new series will be written by American Mythology President James Kuhoric; Dungeon Crawl Classics designer Joseph Goodman will ensure that the series is faithful to Dungeon Crawl Classics lore and the feel of the game. Comic stories will include new quests, sinister dungeons and characters for the game.

American Mythology returned to the direct market for comics earlier this year; they went on hiatus in 2025 as a result of the Diamond Comic Distributors bankruptcy (see “American Mythology Returns to Direct Market“).
Goodman is launching a new line of RPGs based on Michael Moorcock’s Elric of Melnibone in 2027 (see “Goodman Licenses Elric“).
