Marvel Comics has revealed that the new Miracleman character (former Captain America David Colton) will be in the team roster of the Avengers in the new ongoing series launching in November (see “New ‘Avengers’ in November“), and shared covers featuring the character by Artgerm, Mark Spears, and a raft of others. The new version of the character marks a complete reboot of the character last featured by Marvel in a series by Neil Giaman and Mark Buckingham that launched in 2022 (see “’Miracleman’ by Gaiman & Buckingham“). The San Diego Comic-Con teaser implying Punisher would be the previously unrevealed member (see “New ‘Avengers’ Lineup“) looks like it was referring to a 2027 storyline, not the launch team.
Newly revealed covers include the final main cover featuring Miracleman and variants by Artgerm, Skottie Young, Jim Cheung, and Julian Totino Tedesco, as well as the complete Kaare Andrews Wraparound Cover, now featuring Miracleman.
The Mark Spears Display Box Exclusive Variant Cover version will only be available in the Avengers True Believer Display Boxes, each of which contains one of the Spears cover version in a special polybag cover and 19 blind bag variants.
