DC Comics will extend the planned run of Fury of Firestorm to 15 issues, the company announced. The series was launched as a six-issue series, extended to eight issues with the solicitation of #3, and to nine issues with the solicitation of #8.
The DC Next Level series, by Jeff Lemire and Rafael de Latorre, reimagines Firestorm as a horror story. “Much like the Firestorm matrix, the story has taken on a life of its own and just keeps expanding into new and unexpected directions,” writer Jeff Lemire said of the series extension.
Fury of Firestorm debuted on April 1, 2026 (see “Preview: ‘Firestorm’ #1”), and will now extend into mid-2027.
