DC’s Compact Comics line continues to expand, with six new titles slated for spring 2027 release as well as a six-volume Superman themed box set, continuing their best-selling line of small-format graphic novels with an MSRP of $9.99.
In June, DC announced a line of Compact Comics Adventures for young readers that will launch in March 2027 (see “DC to Publish ‘Compact Comics Adventures’”).
The Compact Comics lineup for 2027 includes the following:
- Preacher: Gone to Texas, by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon – January 5
- 100 Bullets: First Shot, Last Call, by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso – January 5
- Batgirl: Year One, by Chuck Dixon and Scott Beatty – February 16
- Superman: Man of Steel, by John Byrne – March 16
- John Constantine, Hellblazer: Dangerous Habits, by Garth Ennis, William Simpson, et al. – April 13
- Catwoman: When in Rome, by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale – April 27
- Superman: DC Compact Comics Box Set – July 1
The Superman box set includes
- Superman: Birthright, by Mark Waid and Gerry Alanguilan
- Superman/Batman, by Jeph Loeb, Ed McGuinness, and Michael Turner
- Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, by Tom King, Bilquis Evely, and Matheus Lopes
- Superman: Man of Steel, by John Byrne
- Superman: Brainiac, by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank
- Superman: Secret Identity, by Kurt Busiek and Stuart Immonen
The latter two titles have not been released yet, and no information is available on their release dates.
