GAMA: The Tabletop Game Association revealed Game Store Day 2026, a new initiative to celebrate game stores, which will occur on November 7, 2026.
Game Store Day is an annual one-day event, exclusively available for GAMA members to host, which is a celebration of all things independent game stores and what they do for their communities. This initiative was inspired by retailer days held in other industries, such as Record Store Day and Indie Bookseller Day, and is meant to drive foot traffic into stores, promote local game stores, and bolster Q4 game sales. The events will be supported by a strategic marketing campaign, promotions, and community involvement. GAMA members can sign up to host Game Store Day 2026 on the GAMA website.
GAMA also announced that nominations for the 2027 Power Retail Awards are now open (see “Now Open“).
