The wait is Ogor – Warhammer Age of Sigmar’s stompiest faction just got a new preview

I’m here for women in STEM: smashing, trampling, eating and mangling. New Ogor Warlord Morga the Mighty excels in all four of these domains, leading the charge in the latest Warhammer preview alongside a wide range of minions. Age of Sigmar’s hungriest faction is getting a wide range of new additions, offering some welcome revitalisation for the Mawtribes, much of which was previously only available in the army set. If tradition is any indication, all of these sets will almost certainly be available for pre-order next week.

The latest preview from Warhammer Community offers a tour de force of beefy Ogors. The aforementioned Morga the Mighty cuts a powerful figure, riding a hulking glutthorn into battle. Those looking for a more personal touch can assemble the kit as a Tyrant instead, with a range of build options as well as options for an armoured or unarmoured mount.

Redd the Maw, by contrast, embodies the gruesome mysticism of the Ogors. He stands atop an enormous cauldron, flanked by bodyguards and ready to channel the powers of his ravenous god. The preview also gave us a look at Grell Firefist, a deadly mercenary who totes a massive cannon.

The preview also offers a look at the new Tyrant and Butcher kits, alongside the elite Ironguts, rank-and-file Gluttons, and blood-soaked Cleavers, which can be assembled as gutseers for those of a more spiritual inclination.

Fittingly, the Ogors themselves aren’t the Age of Sigmar’s faction‘s only monsters, however. Maulbeast Raiders (also buildable as Maulbeast Cavalry) are also featured alongside Hunters with Sabrefangs, Mantrappers, and Orkar’s Torrbad, a new regiment of renown set which features two Ogors astride a pair of massive beasts.

Games Workshop also previewed the updated Battletome for the Ogors, along with a snazzy set of Mawtribes dice.

As a fan of Warhammer Fantasy’s Ogre Kingdoms back in the day, it’s a joy to see this latest incarnation of one of Games Workshop’s most experimental and interesting factions come one step closer to full release.
