Goatboy here and with a 40K new edition out we know some new minis are coming. Here are some old Chaos chestnuts that most need replacing.

Goatboy here and with a new edition out we know some new models are coming our way for for our favorite armies.  This time around I want to talk about the Chaos factions as a whole instead of individual factions themselves.  We are looking at the Chaos side and while not every army needs new models there are a few older minis that really need an update.  Heck some of these just are hard to find, and need an easier way to get the model to play their datasheet.

5. Lord of Contagion – Death Guard

I know there is a kit already that is sold for this unit but it isn’t as good as the one that came in the original Death Guard vs Marine starter set.  It has a goofy look, comes with extra figures, and just doesn’t always fit the overall theme for the current Death Guard army.  I think a new single model kit would be amazing to have come out for the Death Guard and you can even give it a few extra options and other cool things to help make it the replacement Chaos Lord in Terminator armor you’ve always wanted.

4. Skullmaster – Chaos Daemons

Did you know this is one of the few mounted Heralds left?  It is also a Finecast model too?  It is wild to think we never got an updated one in all these years.  The rest of the Khorne Herald Characters have plastic models and this is just the last one laying around. I think creating a unique one would be awesome to see on the table top and could easily make a special character/reg character option to help flesh out the Khorne side of things since it is one of the more popular factions within the Daemon line for both AOS and Warhammer 40K.

3. Helbrute – All Chaos Factions

This is just a model that needs a refresh for all the Chaos factions.  This would include creating some unique things for the extra legions like and actual Emperor’s Children Sonic dread, some kind of crazy chain wielding World Eater, an aura farming Death Guard option, and finally a Sorcerous bank of energy for the Thousand Sons.  I would love to see just something more Dynamic and a bit bigger to match the Helbrute from the Space Marine video game and help fill out all the other legions.

2. Chaos Terminator Lord and Sorcerer Lord – All Chaos Factions

This kit is still sold in a nice little box for all those Chaos players that can use it in their armies.  It’s older than you think, really needs a refresh and update as it feels outdated when compared to the new Chaos Terminators and just how all the other armies would like to utilize this.  A simple set of extra armor plates and weapons would give use the Khorne Zerker Terminator lord we would all want.  A very unique Slaanesh set of options would help fill out EC.  I think even just pushing hard into the Sorcerer side of things for the Thousand Sons would be cool too as the Rubric Terminators look kind of small when you start to compare them to other Terminators.

1. Chaos Bikers – All Chaos Factions

Wow is the old Chaos Bikers kit ancient.  Their size is just a problem and the weird ways they are built just doesn’t fit in the current realm of chaos designs.  They have a weird set of upgrades too that needs to be looked at again and refreshed to help out all the armies.  I just really hope they come out and maybe Doomrider is along for the ride.  I don’t know if you just create cool looking Outriders or go even crazier with a biker gang mentality and other kinda of wild designs.  It just feels like an easy update that can come out with a Kill Team and help match up into the new Exodite boxed set we just got.
