Wizards of the Coast teased The Hobbit: Welcome Decks, for Magic: The Gathering, which will head to stores on August 14, 2026.
The new Welcome decks are 40-card monocolor decks (see “Welcome Decks“) that are designed to inspire LotR fans to give Magic: The Gathering a try. There is one deck for each color on the color wheel, and each deck is themed after iconic characters from The Hobbit. The five decks are as follows: To Arms! (White), Hired Burglar (Blue), Deadly Riddle (Black), Goblin Aggression (Red), and The Might of Mirkwood (Green).
WotC also teased some of the card treatments and chase cards found in The Hobbit set at the Hasbro Games booth in Hall B.
