Titan Publishing has signed a deal with Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. for a wide-ranging publishing initiative that will include prose works by the creator of Tarzan of the Apes and John Carter of Mars, as well as books and comics based on his work.  The program will include new paperback editions of the Edgar Rice Burroughs Authorized Library, which is currently available only in hardcover, as well as unfinished work, illustrated books, new comics, and omnibus editions of older comics.  Titan will launch the initiative in summer 2027 with a new Dejah Thoris comic.

We’ve enjoyed a successful relationship with Titan across a variety of publications over the years, but this is our most ambitious collaboration yet – a comprehensive publishing program with a vision that extends well into the future,” said Jim Sullos, the President of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., in a statement accompanying the announcement.

“This publishing program represents one of the most ambitious celebrations of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ work in decades,” added Titan Entertainment’s COO Andrew Sumner.  “Our goal is to honor the author’s extraordinary legacy while introducing his unforgettable stories to a new generation of readers.”

Dynamite Entertainment has been publishing Dejah Thoris comics for some time and has also included the character in crossovers (see “Preview: ‘Altered States: Warlords’ #1”).
