Gen Con, LLC. posted “Gen Con Sold Out: All Days” signs around the Indianapolis Convention Center prior to the beginning of the show on Wednesday July 29, 2026.
It appears, once again, the Gen Con has sold out of badges for all four days. The Sold Out signs been placed outside the convention center during the show have been a common occurrence for the last several years. However, this time around, the signs went up a a little earlier than usual, prior to the show even opening.
The sell out attendance number is somewhere in the ballpark of around 72,000 attendees, according to 2025 numbers (see “Gen Con 2025 Sets New Attendance Record“). The convention has now sold out for three years in a row, breaking attendance records for the last two years in a row (see “Gen Con 2024 Breaks 2023 Attendance“).
