The next Adventures set for Cryptozoic Entertainment’s DC Deck-Building Game will be The Adventures of Supergirl and Lobo, releasing in October.
In this iteration of the game, Supergirl and Lobo compete world by world to prove who can best beat each planet’s super-villains, gathering bigger and better combos as they go. Players can play as either iconic character and compete across four new locations with unique abilities and villains. Victory on a planet gains immediate rewards as well as end-game points. Meanwhile, the new “dual line-up” system rewards risk by tempting players with stronger cards.
The Adventures of Supergirl and Lobo can be played fully on its own, offering a suitable jumping-on point for new players, and can also be combined with other DC Deck-Building Game titles for more playing options. It comes with 101 standard-sized cards, two oversized character cards, four location cards, two character standees with bases, a “Last Player” token, and a multiverse divider. The first printing will also feature a special “Trench Coat” promo card.
Intended for two players ages fifteen and up, games take about 45 minutes. MSRP is $29.99.
Cryptozoic has also announced a new set featuring the Green Lantern Corps (see “Cryptozoic Will Launch ‘DC Deck-Building Game: Green Lantern Corps’“).
