The LEGO Group has revealed the new LEGO Donkey Kong Arcade set, a 1,367-piece collectible for adult builders that recreates Nintendo’s iconic arcade cabinet and is making its public debut at San Diego Comic-Con ahead of its Aug. 1 retail launch. The detailed display set includes Jumpman, Donkey Kong and Lady minifigures along with recognizable elements from the original game such as the scaffold, ladder and hammer. Builders can interact with several mechanical features, including a lever that releases one of 21 barrels at a time, a joystick that moves Jumpman, a button that makes him jump over incoming barrels and a continuous barrel circulation mechanism that recreates the classic arcade gameplay, making the set a nostalgic centerpiece for retro gaming and Nintendo fans.
