Pokémon GO Fire and Ice Hatch Day will take place on Aug. 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, featuring Smoochum and Magby hatching much more frequently from 2 km Eggs with increased chances to hatch Shiny Smoochum and Shiny Magby. Trainers will also have a chance to hatch Larvesta from 5 km Eggs, including the possibility of encountering a Shiny Larvesta if they’re lucky. Event bonuses include double Candy from hatching Eggs, half Egg Hatch Distance, increased chances of receiving 2 km Eggs from spinning PokéStops and a free Timed Research that rewards an Incubator and XP. The Egg Hatch Distance and Candy bonuses do not stack with bonuses from other Pokémon GO events or GO Passes, and Timed Research tasks and rewards must be completed and claimed before the event ends at 5 p.m. local time on Aug. 8.
