The Pokémon Company has announced that the Pokémon UNITE Championship Series will no longer be part of the Pokémon Championship Series beginning with the 2027 season. Instead, Pokémon UNITE will transition to a standalone in-person competitive event planned to take place in Japan, with paid travel provided for qualified teams. Additional details regarding qualification, travel support and the new competitive format will be announced at a later date on the official Pokémon UNITE website. The Play! Pokémon team also thanked the Pokémon UNITE community, including teams, competitors and tournament organizers, for the passion and dedication they have brought to competitive battles around the world.
