It’s a pirate’s life for Pathfinder 2E players, because Pathfinder Lost Omens: High Seas is here and ready to shiver your timbers.
It’s time for all things piratical in Golarion. And trust me, there are plenty of seas to set sail upon, not just the Inner Sea. Although that is one of the focal regions. But there’s so much to explore in this new sourcebook that details all things nautical adventure, including pirates, sure, but also islands that are grown from the remains of a dead god. All of this and more awaits in Pathfinder Lost Omens: High Seas.
Lost Omens: High Seas – Set Sail Today
I should hope that if you’re an RPG player of any kind, I wouldn’t have to tell you why running a nautical campaign is a ton of fun. You get to be pirates. Or privateers or corsairs or whatever else you can think of. But it’s one of the most fun premises, because you can always just set sail for adventure.
Whether that’s on, above, or below the various regions in the Inner Sea. In a nutshell, this book is another regional gazetteer that delves into all things pirate-y. Along with it, you get a fold-out poster map, a bunch of new lore, and of course, a few new player options.
After all, the book is taking you into some of the more scum-and-villainy coded regions of Golarion. It wouldn’t be right to not include at least a little something for players with a bit of a roguish bent to them. Though I do hasten to point out it’s a very little something. This is aimed at GMs and players who want to get into the lore of Golarion’s high seas. But just look at that bird admiral up there? What’s not to love?
“Set a course for grand adventures with this expansive hardcover guide to the open waters of the Inner Sea. Since time immemorial, the people of Golarion have been setting out into the sea to gather resources, ply their trades, and seek secrets both above and below the water. Explore the failed utopia of the island of Hermea, the home of deadly Red Mantis assassins on Mediogalti Island, the mysteries of the Mordant Spire grown from the remains of a dead god, the countless pirate-scoured islands of the Shackles, or the dangerous depths of underwater regions. Each entry within this gazetteer includes the history, culture, and current events of the region, as well as a major city to include in a variety adventures. The book also includes new character options and a fold-out poster map!”
So, whether you’re a GM hoping to unleash all those sea monsters at long last, or you’re a player with an idea for a swashbuckler but you just need the perfect place to call your home, you’ll want to check out this book, which is available now from Paizo.
I’m pretty sure you can find a readily available guide to piratical terms to throw in. Don’t want to confuse your mainsail for a yard-arm. Gotta make sure you hoist the right thing, you know?
Avast me hearties, yo ho!
