Just a few months ago, Atomic Mass Games previewed their new line of action-packed board games – Marvel Crisis Protocol Alliances – and the first of them is now here for pre-order!
Night of the Goblin
This co-op board game for up to four players pits the iconic Spider-team against the Green Goblin and his henchmen in a battle to save New York City. Players work together in an effort to combat the Goblin’s sinister plots while facing off against foes of increasing power.
New York once again finds itself at the mercy of the Green Goblin and it’s up to the team of the Spider-Men: Peter Parker and Miles Morales, together with Black Cat and Ghost-Spider, to put an end to his menacing machinations!

Four iconic heroes (and the less-than-heroic Green Goblin) are available in this set all of which can be used as alternate sculpts in skirmish games of Marvel Crisis Protocol.
As you unravel the Goblin’s chaotic masterplan, your heroes will face off against a host of threats. Waves of Goblin Army goons and Spider-Slayers are reinforced by lethal War Goblins. The story-driven gameplay sees these lesser threats bolstered in challenging boss fights in a variety of locations, all leading up to a final confrontation with the Green Goblin himself.
The narrative campaign ensures that your games feel meaningful and immersive. Your four heroes gain experience as they battle across the city allowing you to unlock their growing abilities and evolve them to meet the growing threats they face.
In addition to the miniatures, the game includes everything you need to play. Dice, boards, tokens, cards, and the rules, of course, are all here.

The game is now up for pre-order, priced $99.99, and set to release September 4th, 2026.
The first of three Alliances board games, Night of the Goblin will be followed by the X-Men themed Attack of the Sentinels in early 2027 and The Once and Future Kang, set for Q2 of next year. Exciting stuff for sure, and it will be fun to see which other stories of the Marvel Universe will get this deluxe board game treatment from Atomic Mass Games.
I haven’t been back to New York since I moved to the west coast, but I’m gonna be big mad if the Green Goblin wrecks the last Gray’s Papaya before I can visit again…
