A surprise new console update for Baldur’s Gate 3 adds a swath of new mods, including a Guy Fierified Gortash. Flavortown awaits!
A surprise new update hit Baldur’s Gate 3 console players this week. Unexpected, but delightful. Of course, those playing on PC will know these mods are nothing new. But it’s nice to see that the console mod scene is slowly expanding. Now, of course, it encompasses Flavortown, with a Guy Fieri reskin of everyone’s favorite disciple of Bane, Gortash.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Console Update Adds Flavortown And More
Listen, the number of console games that let you mod them is extremely small. It’s a testament to the success of Baldur’s Gate 3 that there are any on console to begin with. The latest update, which dropped earlier this week, adds a swath of new mods.
There’s a surprising focus on party member interaction. Wyll gets some love with a mod that lets you switch from Human Wyll to Devil Wyll with a spell. That way you can decide how Wyll looks. Another mod for Shadowheart will help make the romance run a little more smoothly – it’s possible to actually miss the finale of a Shadowheart romance, and that’s tragic if you’re 50+ hours in. Finally everyone’s favorite vampire disaster gets a better hairstyle, so now you too can play with Astarion’s Tousled Curls.

- Auntie Ethel Always Surrenders – exactly what it says

As you can see there’s a lot of cosmetics on here. But you’ll also find some new classes to play around with and a few rules overhauls. As always you can find them all ready to go wherever you play. So you may as well go start a new playthrough.
Maybe even play as one of the new classes, just to see what making all the same decisions is like with a new class on for size!
