February 2026 Circana BookScan – Top 20 Author, Manga, Superhero Graphic Novels

DC Comics’ Absolutes, two George R. R. Martin graphic novels, and Jujutsu Kaisen are among the Top 20 best-selling Author, Manga, and Superhero graphic novels according to Circana (formerly NPD) BookScan data for February 2026 (2/1/2026 – 2/28/2026) provided to ICv2.

The Superhero chart lines up surprisingly closely with the ComicHub Top 20 (see “Top 20 Graphic Novels – February 2026“), suggesting that in this category at least, the same books are hitting in the book channel as in comic shops.  At the top of the chart are the new second volumes of Absolute Batman and Absolute Wonder Woman, plus Vol. 1 of Absolute Batman.

Overall, DC has taken over the top superhero titles in the book channel with 17 titles, 10 of which are Absolutes.  For several of these, both the paperback and the hardcover make the Top 20.  There are also six Compact Comics editions on the chart.  Readers are picking up both the inexpensive editions of older comics and the more expensive newer titles, and at the moment, the Absolutes are attracting a bigger readership (especially impressive given that the second volumes are priced higher than the first).

Marvel Comics’ One World Under Doom, a February release, does make the chart, as does Jonathan Hickman’s Ultimate Spider-Man, and of course, TMNT: The Last Ronin continues to hit the Top 20.

The Author chart is even heavier on the usual suspects than last month (see “January 2026 Circana BookScan“), with ten volumes of Solo Leveling and four of Invincible. But there are also two George R. R. Martin graphic novels, both published by Amazon’s print graphic novel imprint Jet City (see “Amazon Enters Comic Book Publishing“) and both well over ten years old.  Perhaps the mid-January premiere of HBO’s Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (see “‘Game of Thrones’ Series News“) has stirred up new interest in the author.

While frequent fliers The Hobbit and Fun Home don’t make this month’s chart, some newer titles are showing some staying power: Coryxkenshin’s Monsters We Make is on the Author chart for the fourth month in a row, while the manhua Heaven Official’s Blessing marks its third month on the chart and Vol. 1 of the BL manhwa Low Tide in Twilight (a.k.a. the first omegaverse graphic novel to make the Top 20) its second.

Since the Adult chart is dominated by manga (see “February 2026 Circana BookScan“), the Manga chart isn’t too much different, except for the addition of two more volumes of Jujutsu Kaisen and the first volume of Chainsaw Man.  So literally half the Manga chart is Jujutsu Kaisen.
