Goatboy here with what I think 40K most needs from new Kill Team units to help round out the game.
I love the Kill Team kits and their models they come out! I think they bring a lot of flavor to 40K and adding things to Kill Team is a great way to bring distinctive, unique units to the 40K universe. Here’s what I hope to see GW give us in the months ahead:
5. Aeldari Exodite Unit
This could be a unique option like the Corsairs or just a new “Aspect” host to add to the army. I would love to see some kind of Dino Rider option or a weird mix of models to create a really unique unit. These are some crazy looking options to help create a unique force for the Aeldari. It might be one of the few things that would get me to paint Aeldari for myself instead of a commission.
4. Ork Stormboyz with the Vulcha
The Stormboyz are a very unique set of models for the Ork and 40K line. They are really neat unit where you could go hog wild into the whole “regiment” feel for an Ork army. They could have these cool jackets, an awesome looking rocket pack, and probably some mean looking claws for their feet. I would also put in their leader “Nob” as the Vulcha with his wild Klaw that replace his legs and just all the venom an old Ork leader should have.
3. Mutated Genestealer Brood for Tyranids or Genestealer Cult
I love the idea of having unique Tyranid strains and going hog wild on an update set of Genestealers would be awesome. They used to have them in the old editions where they infiltrated and were a complete pain in the butt. What if you had these again and made these insane looking models running around with cool weapons, claws, and murderous intent.
2. New Catachan unit for Astra Militarum
These plastic Catachan models are so old they really need a new set. I think utilizing some of the designs they had done for anniversary models they could go wild into such a cool design. These guys and girls would be super buff, have awesomely bigger than normal weapons, and just look tough as heck. I have been killed so many times by Catachans and think it would be awesome to have something new.
1. Grey Knight Purifiers
These guys need a uniquely awesome set of models that are on fire, shooting fire, and just looking awesome. A really cool set of five with just all the effects work done on them would be so cool. It is wild to think we haven’t had an update from Grey Knights since they initially came out and caused all kinds of problems in 5th Edition. I just feel a kit with as much “movement” work some of the new models have had would be awesome to look at.
