Games Workshop has four new 40k army boxes coming out soon. Just in time for the Eye of Terror to kick into high gear!

The Grimdark is brewing up a battle as the Eye of Terror looks to start up another conflict. Chaos is coming and the Iron Warriors are leading the charge. It’s fitting that a new Combat Patrol is coming for them. However, they aren’t the only army prepping for a fight. Let’s see what GW is cooking up once more.

You know the drill by now – a cracking new expansion book for Warhammer 40,000 is coming out, so that means a new Combat Patrol and more Battalion boxes are dropping into view packed with thematic units. They’re all prepped for the new Apocalypse rules we revealed last week, and so lean towards heavy vehicles rather than massed infantry.

Iron Warriors Combat Patrol

This boxed set is looking PACKED and perfect for a new Iron Warriors army. We’ve got a Warpsmith leading the charge. Following him into battle there’s are five Chaos Terminators, five Havocs, and 10 Legionaries to add some bodies to the field. This box also has the new Iron Warriors upgrade fame, too! So you’ll get all the cool bits in one purchase.

Eye of Terror Battalion: Sons of Dorn

The Eye of Terror is bringing Apocalyptic rules with it and that means you’re going to need to pack a lot of beef in your lists. That’s where this new Detachment comes in for the Space Marines. It’s called the Ceramite Sentinels Detachment and, as the name implies, you’ve got armor for days.

This boxed set contains two Repulsor Executioners, a Ballistus Dreadnought, and a Redemptor Dreadnought. There’s also a Black Templars Upgrade frame. Which is perfect as you can mix-and-match those bits for any Black Templar or Imperial Fist army. They are both Sons of Dorn after all!

Eye of Terror Battlation: Adeptus Mechanicus

The Adeptus Mechanicus is supposed to be a key factor in the Eye of Terror war that is coming. Well now we’ve got a Battalion coming to help reinforce them. This box has an Onager Dunecrawler, an Ironstrider Ballistarius, and a Skorpius Dunerider. The latter of two of those units also have alternate build options as well. But you already knew that. Honestly, this box seems pretty well rounded and a good candidate for doubling up. If you’re looking to play an Ad Mech army that is.

Eye of Terror Battalion: Imperial Knights

The final Battalion is an Imperial Knight one. Honestly, this just seems like a starter box for the Imperial Knights army anyhow. You’ve got a Knight Valiant/Castellan and two Armigers. That’s already a chunk of points and is a pretty effective launching point for this army. You could easily fill that army out with a few more other Knight variants and/or Armigers. It’s a big stompy robot good time.

All of these boxes are going to be available soon. I’m guessing around the same time the Eye of Terror actually shows up. It’s time to start planning for the Apocalypse games coming!
