The Space Marines are getting a new plastic kit and this one is build for Titan-hunting in the Horus Heresy!
Taking out Titans is simple. You just need a gun with a really big barrel. And what’s better than one of those? How about TWO really big barrels. That’s what the new plastic kit is bringing for the Falchion Tank.
The Falchion can be described as a dedicated vehicle-destroyer, but that’s rather underselling it – it’s in the business of blasting holes in Titans, and if anything else happens to get in its way… well, it won’t be their problem for long. Unlike the versatile Fellblade that can tackle lots of different targets with its varied payloads, the Falchion pushes everything it has into the enormous neutron-wave cannon mounted on its hull – a fearsome weapon so cumbersome it would surely rupture any turret that tried to fit it.
The Titan-hunter Falchion Tank Now In Plastic
As you can see the main cannon on the Falchion is the frankly ridiculous neutron-wave cannon. Ridiculous not because of it’s look but because of it’s sheer devastating potential. This weapon can not only punch through titans, it’s got a range of 10 feet. That’s real-life feet, not in game universe range. That means you’re going to be able to launch a volley at targets across the tabletop. Heck, you’ll probably be able to hit targets on other tabletops if you really want to go there. If you shot it straight up, it could basically dunk a basketball. I think you get the picture.
If (for some reason) things to get a little closer you’ve also got a pair of sponson side turrets to unleash. How you equip your Falchion is really up to you. Would you opt for the heavy bolters to help clear out the chaff? Maybe the Autocannons to clear out some light armor or help with void shield removal? OR do you go with Lascannons just to mop-up anything that’s left?
The next question you might have is where you can find the rules for this massive gun on tank treads. Well you can find those rules (and more) in the up coming Journal Tactical book Mailed Fist: Legiones Astartes Super-Heavy Tanks. It’s coming to pre-order soon and you’ll be able to run the Falchion and many more tanks with those rules in hand.
Titans can be very scary to face off against when you’re only packing power armor. Just don’t forget that Space Marines have more than a few tools in their arsenal to deal with them, too.
This one’s for the treadheads!
