Soon, The Avengers and X-Men Will Be Able to Do Battle with Kobolds, Orcs, and Dragon Wyrmlings
WizKids unveiled Dungeons & Dragon HeroClix: Series One, a new HeroClix line, which will head to stores in October 2026.
Games of HeroClix just got more interesting. In general, the HeroClix line had stayed in its lane, making booster sets predominantly revolving around heroes and villains (after all, “Hero” is in the title of the game). The HeroClix Iconix line occasionally changed lanes (see “‘Stranger Things: The Upside Down’” and also, “‘Beetlejuice’“), but since the release of HorrorClix (see “WizKids Gets New Line“) and Halo ActionClix (see “‘ActionClix’“) almost 20 years ago, for the most part, HeroClix has stayed comic-adjacent.
Dungeons & Dragon HeroClix: Series One is a clear, yet welcomed departure from the superhero realm into one of the top fantasy settings to ever to exist. This product is compatible with other HeroClix lines, so fantasy battles between Marvel, DC heroes, and D&D characters are possible. The set contains 60 different pre-painted miniatures to collect, which include Secret Commons, Primes, and Chase miniatures. The set features both heroes and monsters, such as warriors, wizards, goblins, kobolds, orcs, and more. The Chase figures for this set include different chromatic Dragon Wyrmlings.
This product comes in Booster Bricks of 8 boosters (MSRP $223.92); boosters contain 3 regular-sized, pre-painted miniatures on combat dials, an oversized miniature on an oversized combat dial, an object token, an object card, and a One-Shot card featuring fan-favorite Spells from the roleplaying game. Lucky players might even open one of the awe-inspiring chromatic Dragon Wyrmlings.
