It is always a good day to kill Nazi scum, especially in the world of Modiphius’ upcoming new RPG based on the Wolfenstein video games.
Nazis are the best bad guys for any game, be it video game, tabletop RPG, or even board game, because no matter what shape they take, you never have to feel bad about your actions. As the very first Wolfenstein video game proved, it’s an unambiguous, moral good to mow down SS officers with a chaingun. And Modiphius’ upcoming tabletop RPG set in the world of the newer Wolfenstein games developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda, Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus.
Modiphius Announces Wolfenstein RPG Coming Later This Year
It’s pretty much exactly what it says on the tin here. Modiphius, whom you might know as the makers of RPGs like Achtung! Cthulhu, Star Trek Adventures, and Fallout, are at work developing a new tabletop RPG based on the world of Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus.
If you missed the 2014 hit and its over-the-top followup, these games are all set in a world where the Nazis won World War II and have taken over America. You play as BJ Blazkowicz, the hero of the original Wolfenstein (back in the days of MS-DOS gaming) who, at the climax of his battle with Deathshead, is knocked into a coma and awakens in an alternate 1960s but with one goal in mind: kill Nazi scum.
Modiphius’ new tabletop RPG will have you play as members of the Resistance as you rise up against tyranny to fight for freedom.

This isn’t the first time Modiphius has tackled a video game adaptation. Nor is it the first time the company has had player characters killing Nazis. Between the Fallout RPG and the Doom Board Games, it seems Modiphius’ licensing deal with Bethesda is bearing all manner of fruit.
