WizKids announced two new Star Trek: Captain’s Chair expansions, which will hit retail in December 2025.
The To Boldly Go expansion, for Star Trek: Captain’s Chair deck-building game (see ” ‘Star Trek: Captain’s Chair’“), is a new standalone expansion that adds Captain Kirk, Khan Noonien Singh, and Phillippa Georgiou to the game as three of six new playable captains for the game. Each of the new captains comes with their own playable deck that synergizes with their leader’s commander style and abilities. This expansion includes over 250 cards for the game, tokens, markers, and a rulebook. It is for one to two players, ages 14 and up; plays in 60 to 120 minutes and will retail for $59.99.
Second Contact is a standard expansion that contains new Captains for the game, including Carol Freeman and Christopher Pike. It also comes with Krulmuth-B as a starting location that opens a portal to the rest of the galaxy. The expansion contains 99 standard cards, 6 automated command cards, crew board, tokens, a card list and a rulesheet. It requires the base game to play and will retail for $29.99.
